China

This huge country is the third largest in the world. The United States is slightly smaller than China. China contains over one billion people, about 25% of all the world's people. Mountains cover two-thirds of China's land. The highest point is Mt. Everest which is believed to be the tallest mountain in the world. The lowest points is one of the world's driest deserts. Besides deserts, China has some very wet lands along the coast line.

Most of China has a climate like ours with four seasons but in the deserts temperatures can go from a high of 100 degrees to a low of -30 degrees in just one day.

Wildlife
