You said this would be the last time you saw the ocean.
You said I was your only friend.
I said I'd see you tomorrow.
I said I couldn't stand losing you again.

I faintly remember you saying that being a better person wasn't about being a better person at all.

I don't want to think that you're gone forever.
And everything besides you in this world was deceiving...
But maybe...
Maybe it's time that I started to believe.
Maybe it's time I started believing.

I told you that you meant the world to me.
You, oh you went and said I needed more than this.
I had no idea what you mean, but would do anything you say.
I just don't want to be associated with all that faith and bliss.

I faintly remember you mentioning how the sky looks a lot more clear when you've got something to look forward to.

I don't want to think that you're gone forever.
And everything besides you in this world was deceiving...
But maybe...
Maybe it's time that I started to believe.
Maybe it's time I started believing.

You were the only one I'd change for.
Who knew I'd reconsider for something I'd already lost?
That past really isn't my specialty...
But you were more than special to me.

I don't want to think that you're gone forever.
And everything besides you in this world was deceiving...
But maybe...
Maybe it's time that I started to believe.
Maybe it's time I started believing... in me.
