The development and initiation of the CREATE Grant is the result of the dedicated efforts of the fine arts specialists, classroom teachers, principals, ArtsReach Executive Committee, and grant administrator. Through their combined expertise, this grant has paved the way to comprehensive integrated instruction in the arts in Cecil County.

Sincere appreciation is extended to the Maryland State Department of Education; Dr. Nancy Grasmick, State Superintendent; Mr. Jay Tucker, MSDE Chief of Arts and Humanities; Arts Education in Maryland Schools (AEMS); State Fine Arts Advisory Panel; State Legislators; and former Governor Parris Glendening for their support of the Fine Arts Initiative and Goals 2000 Grants in the Arts.

Thanks are extended to the Gifted and Talented Drama students at Rising Sun High School, Young People's Theatre Program and the Cecil Dance Theatre students who were so critical in the instructional models and student support of this project.

Thanks are also extended to the North Carolina A+ Schools Institute, Ralph Burgard, and Vincent Morrow for their assistance and support.
