Parent Outreach

Vision

Under the direction of the CCPS ESOL Department, the Parent Outreach Program will provide support to our English Language Learners (ELLs) and their families in order to help them adjust to American culture, understand all aspects of the CCPS school program, and foster literacy in the home.

Mission

The mission of the Parent Outreach Program is to support new immigrant families as they transition to American culture and Cecil County Public Schools by:

Explaining school procedures
Sharing school and community resources
Encouraging parent involvement in the school community
Increasing parent involvement in their children's education
Fostering family literacy
Empowering parents as advocates
Providing opportunities to interact with other families
Connecting home and school
