Introduction:
What are some ways hard work can lead to positive solutions? This activity will help you to learn about someone who has overcome obstacles to achieve his/her goals.
Task:
Using a graphic organizer,
you will research a person (from the list below) who has solved problems
through initiative and courage. Then, select interview questions based on the biography information you
read. After you become an "expert" about the person you chose, you will act as this person and another student will interview" you using the interview questions you selected.

Step 2

Step 3
After reading the selection and completing the organizer, print out and circle 7 interview questions that you are able to answer about the person you chose. Click to get Interview Questions.
Step 4
Give your interview questions to another student. He or she will act as the interviewer by asking you the questions you selected. Be prepared to answer the questions in your own words, acting as if you are that person. This is your practice interview before presenting to the class! Step 5
Ask your partner for suggestions to improve your oral
presentation. Be prepared to act
out the interview for the class.
Evaluation:
You will be evaluated on your completed graphic organizer
as well as your oral presentation. The oral presentation evaluation will be based on your knowledge of the
individual, enthusiasm, volume, and eye contact.
